Properties
CH-studs specially designed and made with galvanized sheet iron are mostly used for elevator shafts of high-rise buildings, piping passages, air ducts and stairs.
This system is more effective than brick work due to inexpensive material costs and economic efficiency. In addition, gypsum boards can be simply inserted, unlike ordinary types, so construction can be finished faster.
This system also is fire resistant for four hours maximum and sound insulating until 51 STC, and can endure lateral forces of up to 15 PSE.
